Czech zoologist and amateur astronomer Ivo Zajonc (b. 1933) spent most of his professional life in Slovakia, where he served for 35 years as chair of the Nitra branch of the Slovak Union of Amateur Astronomers. A member of the Jihlava Astronomical Society, he was also elected an honorary fellow of the Slovak Astronomical Society. |
