9817 Thersander           Discovered 1960 Sept. 24 by C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by T. Gehrels.
Thersander, a son of the Theban Polyneices, was wounded by Telephus and later was one of the heroes in the Wooden Horse.
