8485 Satoru           Discovered 1989 Mar. 29 by T. Seki at Geisei.
Satoru Honda (b. 1913), some time kindergarten principal, is the widow of Minoru Honda, famed comet and nova hunter. When light pollution affected her husband's observatory at Kurashiki she spent her retirement allowance to purchase a new mountain site. The name was suggested by K. Kenmotsu and T. Sato.
