8144 Hiragagennai           Discovered 1982 Nov. 14 by H. Kosai and K. Hurukawa at the Kiso Station of the Tokyo Astronomical Observatory.
Hiraga Gennai (1728-1779) was born in Takamatsu, Kagawa prefecture. He was a scientist, pharmacologist and playwright in the middle Edo period.
