7986 Romania           Discovered 1981 Mar. 1 by S. J. Bus at Siding Spring in the course of the U.K. Schmidt-Caltech Asteroid Survey.
The country of Romania is located in southeast Europe, with Bucharest as its capital. It has a land area roughly one-third that of France, and contains the Carpathian mountains, Danube river, and borders the Black Sea. Its cultural history spans two millennia and the Romanian language is of Latin origin.
