7844 Horikawa           Discovered 1995 Dec. 21 by T. Kobayashi at Oizumi.
Kuniaki Horikawa (b. 1958), a computer systems engineer in Yokohama, started Jupiter observations in 1974, and he has obtained more than 3000 drawings and 8200 central-meridian transit timings. Since 2001 he has served as director of the Jupiter-Saturn Section of the Oriental Astronomical Association.
