7681 Chenjingrun           Discovered 1996 Dec. 24 by the Beijing Schmidt CCD Asteroid Program at Xinglong.
Named in memory of Jingrun Chen (1933-1996), member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and superior research professor at the Mathematical Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He obtained brilliant results in the field of modern analytical number theory, notably "Chen's Theorem", which is concerned with the Goldbach conjecture.
