7547 Martinnakata           Discovered 1979 June 25 by E. F. Helin and S. J. Bus at Siding Spring.
Martin Nakata (b. 1957) is a professor and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Education and Strategy) at James Cook University in Townsville, Australia. He is an Indigenous Torres Strait Islander from the island of Naghir. He leads research and educational curricula at the interface of Indigenous astronomy and Western astrophysics.
