7309 Shinkawakami           Discovered 1995 Mar. 28 by T. Kobayashi at Oizumi.
Shin-ichi Kawakami (b.1956) is a professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences in the Faculty of Education at Gifu University. He has studied impact cratering and its implications for planetary evolution. He also published several books on the history of Planet Earth.
