6973 Karajan           Discovered 1992 Apr. 27 by S. Ueda and H. Kaneda at Kushiro.
Herbert von Karajan (1908-1989), born in Salzburg, was one of the best-known conductors of the twentieth century. He was music director of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra for thirty-five years and realized many famous recordings with that orchestra.
