6701 Warhol           Discovered 1988 Jan. 14 by A. Mrkos at Klet.
The American painter and film-maker Andy Warhol (Andrew Warhola, 1928-1987) was a leader of the Pop Art movement. In the 1960s he attracted attention with exhibition of prints of startlingly ordinary images. Warhol worked also on experimental underground films.
