6144 Kondojiro           Discovered 1994 Mar. 14 by K. Endate and K. Watanabe at Kitami.
As an amateur astronomer, Jiro Kondo (b. 1951) went to Siberia to observe the Draconid meteor shower in 1972. A professional Egyptologist since 1976, he has excavated a number of archaeological sites. He also studies the history of ancient Egyptian astronomy. He is a professor at Waseda University.
