4887 Takihiroi           Discovered 1981 Mar. 2 by S. J. Bus at Siding Spring in the course of the U.K. Schmidt-Caltech Asteroid Survey.
A researcher in the department of geological sciences at Brown University, Takahiro (Taki) Hiroi (b. 1960) has worked extensively on linking minor planets and meteorites using reflectance spectroscopy. His extensive database of meteorite spectra is widely used by the scientific community to pursue this endeavor.
