48636 Huangkun           Discovered 1995 Sept. 28 by the Beijing Schmidt CCD Asteroid Program at Xinglong.
Kun Huang (1919-2005), academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was an internationally known physicist. He was one of the principal founders of solid-state and semiconductor physics in China. He won the China State Supreme Science and Technology Award in 2001.
