Czech lawyer Milada Horáková (1901-1950) was a human and women's rights activist in the interwar and postwar periods and founder of the Czech women's journal Vlasta. She joined the Czech anti-Nazi resistance, survived Nazi imprisonment (1940-1945) and later was unjustly executed in communist Czechoslovakia.
