3788 Steyaert           Discovered 1986 Aug. 29 by H. Debehogne at the European Southern Observatory.
Belgian amateur astronomer Christian Steyaert (b. 1955) was president of the Belgian Dutch-language astronomical society "Vereniging voor Sterrenkunde" from 1988 to 2004. The name was suggested by J. Meeus.
