Koheiji Miura (1933-2006) is an internationally-known Japanese ceramic artist. An alumnus and a professor emeritus at Tokyo National University of Fine Art and Music. He was granted the Medal with Purple Ribbon from the Emperor in 1996 and designated as a Living National Treasure by the Government in 1997.
