Alexandre-Jean Noél (1752-1832) was a French landscape and marine painter. In 1769, he participated in the scientific expedition to San José del Cabo (Baja California, Mexico) for the Venus Transit. He served as the expedition's illustrator, and drew the funeral of Chappe d´Auteroche near his observatory.
