27658 Dmitrijbagalej           Discovered 1978 Sept. 1 by N. S. Chernykh at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory.
Dmitrij Ivanovich Bagalej (1857-1932) was a historian, professor and rector of Kharkov University. His scientific works were devoted to the ancient history of Ukraine, Russia and Lithuania. During 1914--1917 he was head of the Kharkov town council.
