27147 Mercedessosa           Discovered 1998 Dec. 17 by ODAS at Caussols.
Mercedes Sosa (1935-2009) was an Argentinian popular singer, also known as La Negra by her fans. She renewed South American folk music, interpreting, among others, songs from Atahualpa Yupanqui and Violetta Parra. She was a goodwill ambassador for UNESCO in South America and the Caribbean.
