24956 Qiannan           Discovered 1997 Sept. 26 by Beijing Schmidt CCD Asteroid Program at Xinglong.
Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture (Qiannan), with a population of 4.2 million from 43 ethnic groups, is an autonomous prefecture of Guizhou Province, P.R. China. As the home site of FAST, Qiannan has established close partnership with the municipality of Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
