24639 Mukhametdinov           Discovered 1982 Oct. 20 by L. G. Karachkina at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory.
Vladimir Nagimovich Mukhametdinov (b. 1946) worked for 46 years as a mechanical and power engineer, then as a teacher in the Technical Lyceum. As an enthusiastic amateur astronomer, he provides tireless assistance in upgrading the electronics of the telescopes at CrAO.
