24495 Degroff           Discovered 2001 Jan. 2 by the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth Object Search at the Anderson Mesa Station.
Bill DeGroff (b. 1956), Telescope Facilities Manager at Lowell Observatory, was instrumental in realizing the exceptional performance of Lowell's Discovery Channel Telescope (DCT). Prior to his present operational position, he served as Project Manager, and before that Project Engineer during DCT development.
