22783 Teng           Discovered 1999 Apr. 11 by the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth Object Search at the Anderson Mesa Station.
Stacy H. Teng (b. 1980), a recent Ph.D. recipient at the University of Maryland, studies the evolution of nuclear activity in luminous and ultraluminous infrared galaxies and has confirmed the link between mergers and quasars. The name was suggested by M. M. Knight.
