21822 Degiorgi           Discovered 1999 Oct. 15 by the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth Object Search at the Anderson Mesa Station.
Ennio De Giorgi (1928-1996) was an outstanding Italian mathematician, known for his fundamental theorems in the calculus of variations, in minimal surface theory, in partial differential equations and in axiomatic set theory.
