11421 Cardano           Discovered 1999 June 10 by P. G. Comba at Prescott.
Gerolamo Cardano (1501-1576), prototypical Renaissance man, physician, mathematician, astrologer, inventor and gambler, was the first to publish the solution of the cubic and quartic equations and to give a systematic calculation of probabilities in connection with games of chance.
