11020 Orwell           Discovered 1984 July 31 by A. Mrkos at Klet.
British writer George Orwell (Eric Blair, 1903-1950) was renowned for his novels Animal Farm and 1984, the latter a brilliant examination of the dangers of totalitarian rule. The name was suggested by J. Ticha and endorsed by B. G. Marsden, who made the identification involving this aptly designated object.
