9507 Gottfried           Discovered 1973 Sept. 30 by C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by T. Gehrels.
Gottfried of Brabant, brother of Elsa, was changed into a swan by Ortrud, wife of Telramund. After Ortrud's death he again became a human being, as Lohengrin had to leave Elsa.
