5047 Zanda           Discovered 1981 Mar. 2 by S. J. Bus at Siding Spring in the course of the U.K. Schmidt-Caltech Asteroid Survey.
Brigitte Zanda (b. 1958) is a meteorite curator at the Museum National d´Histoire Naturelle in Paris and an adjunct faculty member at Rutgers University. Her research on the formation of chondrules has placed important constraints on chemical and physical processes operating in the solar nebula.
