19550 Samabates           Discovered 1999 May 10 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro.
Samantha Lee Bates (b. 1990) is a finalist in the 2003 Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge, a middle school science competition, for her biochemistry, medicine, health and microbiology project. She attends the Notre Dame Elementary School, Belmont, California.
