Erzsébet Illés (b. 1936) is a Hungarian astronomer and planetary scientist. She has conducted pioneering research in comparative planetology and in understanding the processes in the upper atmosphere. She is One of the winners of the 2011 annual science communication award of the Club of Hungarian Science Journalists.
