19182 Pitz           Discovered 1991 Oct. 7 by L. D. Schmadel and F. Börngen at Tautenburg.
Eckhart Pitz (b. 1940) is a German physicist at the Heidelberg Max-Planck-Institut für Astronomie. He is a leading expert in astronomical instrumentation, from the extreme ultraviolet to the far infrared. The name was suggested by the first discoverer.
