18290 Sumiyoshi           Discovered 1977 Feb. 18 by H. Kosai and K. Hurukawa at Kiso.
Sumiyoshi, in the south of Osaka prefecture, is an important port for trade between Japan and the Korean Peninsula. The Sumiyoshi Taisha shrine, a guardian of voyage, was founded in 211. At shrine, there is a lighthouse, belived to be the oldest in Japan.
