18055 Fernhildebrandt           Discovered 1999 Oct. 11 by G. Hug and G. Bell at Farpoint Observatory.
Fern C. Hildebrandt (b. 1927) instilled and cultivated an interest in astronomy in codiscoverer Gary Hug at a very early age. Resident now in Topeka, Kansas, she has been an example of dedication and triumph through difficult times and has inspired this codiscoverer to search the night sky.
