17897 Gallardo           Discovered 1999 Mar. 19 by the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth Object Search at the Anderson Mesa Station.
Tabaré Gallardo (b. 1962) is a dynamicist at the astronomy department of the University of the Republic, Montevideo. He works on the dynamics of minor bodies, transneptunian objects and extrasolar planets.
