17806 Adolfborn           Discovered 1998 Mar. 31 by P. Pravec at Ondřejov.
Czech painter and illustrator Adolf Born (b. 1930) is known for his murkily-tinted pictures of bizarre fauna, Victorian gentlemen in top hats and topcoats and mysterious ladies with tall hairdos and plunging necklines. His slightly surrealistic work, with its strong undertone of humor, is loved by both children and adults.
