17262 Winokur           Discovered 2000 May 9 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro.
Named in honor of Bruce Winokur for mentoring two finalists in the 2002 Intel Science Talent Search, a science competition for high school seniors. Winokur is a teacher at the Stuyvesant High School, New York, New York.
