17224 Randoross           Discovered 2000 Feb. 5 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro.
Named in honor of Randolph Ross for mentoring a finalist in the 2002 Intel Science Talent Search, a science competition for high school seniors. Ross is a teacher at the Great Neck South High School, Great Neck, New York.
