17222 Perlmutter           Discovered 2000 Feb. 2 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro.
Named in honor of Frances Perlmutter for mentoring a finalist in the 2002 Intel Science Talent Search, a science competition for high school seniors. Perlmutter is a teacher at the Horace Mann School, Bronx, New York.
