16690 Fabritius           Discovered 1994 Oct. 28 by Spacewatch at Kitt Peak.
Carel Fabritius (1622-1654) was a Dutch painter and one of Rembrandt's most gifted pupils. His early work resembled that of his teacher but later he developed his own artistic style, known for his light-coloured textured backgrounds as in, for example "The Goldfinch". Name suggested by W. A. Fröger.
