Karl May (1842-1912), Saxonian author of splendid fantasies, began with country stories out of his Erzgebirge home. His fascinating, exotic and colorful adventure novels were placed mostly in North America's Wild West and in the Far East. They became very popular and were translated into more than 25 languages. |
