15053 Bochníček           Discovered 1998 Dec. 17 by P. Pravec and U. Babiaková at Ondřejov.
Záviš Bochníček (b. 1920), a Czech astronomer living in Slovakia, worked on photographic observations of artifical satellites and computed their orbits. He discovered two novae and popularizes astronomy and cosmonautics. During 1956-1958 he was a director of the Astronomical Institute in Tatranská Lomnica.
