14965 Bonk           Discovered 1997 May 24 by N. Ehring at Bornheim.
Werner Bonk (b. 1923) is a German engineer and amateur astronomer who has measured several hundred positions of minor planets. He introduced the discoverer to astrometry and provided him with assistance and encouragement for many years.
