14832 Alechinsky           Discovered 1987 Aug. 27 by E. W. Elst at the European Southern Observatory.
Belgian painter Pierre Alechinsky (b. 1927) founded the expressionist movement "CoBrA", a name linking the cities of Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam. One of the leading artists in mid-century Europe, he is well known for his treatment of colors ("Walking Blue"), graphic humor and versatility in media and techniques.
