12750 Berthollet           Discovered 1993 Feb. 18 by E. W. Elst at Haute Provence.
Claude-Louis Berthollet (1748-1822) was a French chemist who analyzed ammonia and prussic acid. However, his greatest contributions to chemistry were his studies on chemical affinity and his discovery of the reversibility of reactions (Essai de statique chimique, 1830).
