12714 Alkimos           Discovered 1991 Apr. 15 by C. S. Shoemaker and E. M. Shoemaker at Palomar.
Akimos was a son of Ares. Together with Automedon, he was in charge of Achilles' horses. After the death of Patroclus, they were the most honored of the companions of Achilles.
