12423 Slotin           Discovered 1995 Oct. 17 by Spacewatch at Kitt Peak.
As a result of an accident on 1946 May 21 at the Los Alamos laboratory, Louis Alexander Slotin (1910-1946) received a lethal dose of radiation. He bravely insisted that doctors monitor his deteriorating health during his final nine days.
