12252 Gwangju           Discovered 1988 Nov. 8 by M. Koishikawa at Sendai Astronomical Observatory Ayashi station.
On 2002 Apr. 20 Gwangju, Korea, became the seventh friendship city of Sendai, Japan. Gwangju and Sendai are famous for their cultural, artistic and academic facilities, and each will host World Cup soccer games this year.
