11636 Pezinok           Discovered 1996 Dec. 27 by A. Galád and A. Pravda at the Astronomical and Geophysical Observatory, Modra.
Pezinok is a small town near Bratislava. The town is known for its wine producing traditions from the thirteenth century. From the fourteenth to nineteenth centuries gold was mined here. It is also the birthplace of the French astronomer Maurice Löevy (1833-1907) and Slovak astronomer Ján Štohl (1932-1993).
