11498 Julgeerts           Discovered 1989 Apr. 3 by E. W. Elst at the European Southern Observatory.
Julien Armand Geerts (b. 1909) is a well-known commercial artist in Belgium. He was for many years a good friend of the discoverer's parents. The naming is on the occasion of Geerts' ninetieth birthday.
